Fraud on paid Asian Dating sites Recent raid on 'office' in Cebu

'Paid' dating sites usually don't offer any additional safety, or the potential to meet better, or real, people. Several of the bigger 'pay per message' dating sites are rampant with fraud, chnlove.com, and another site owned by the same people, are two examples.
idateasia.com is mentioned in a series of news articles from the Philippines, involving the raid on a 'call center', operated by a Chinese national, in the Philippines.
The 'call center' consisted of young filipino men, and ladies, who operated fake profiles on idateasia.com, encouraging men to send messages to the lady, and most likely purchase fake gifts. (The 'agency' gets a commission on all services purchased by the customer)
Additionally, there are reports on online nudity, and stolen pornographic images being used to entice the customer, as well as arranging prostitutes for the customer if he comes to the Philippines.

These 'pay per message' sites are generally bad news. There is too much fraud going on. Rarely is it as extensive as this recent situation in the Philippines, but the income that can be made by tricking men into paying for messages, or 'translated' messages, is too tempting for some people in lesser developed areas, whether they are in Asia, or the Former Soviet Union countries.

I strongly suggest you not use any dating site where you pay per message, or have to pay for 'in house' translation of messages. While the fees may be a few dollars, US, that amount is sufficient enough in some local economies to make fraud, profitable. These people assume you have more money, than brains, and deserve to lose some money. Prove them wrong. Keep away from these sites!
